WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or obtain your physicians official release. Parents cannot give consent for cosmetic tattooing in the state of Utah.

  • You must not be pregnant or nursing OR you can obtain a physicians official written release.

  • If you have auto-immune conditions or problems with healing you must obtain a written physician’s consent.

  • If you are using Accutane or have used it within the last 6 months, you should not have permanent makeup OR obtain a physician’s release.

  • (LIP PROCEDURE) If you are having a lip procedure and have EVER had cold sores or fever blisters, you will need to obtain an antiviral medication from your physician before having this procedure.

  • Refrain from the use of alcohol, aspirin-containing medication, Ibuprofen for 48 hours before permanent cosmetics. Never discontinue the use of any medication prescribed by your physician without his/her consent.

  • Refrain from having electrolysis or other hair removal 48 hours prior to and two weeks following Permanent Cosmetics (In the treated area(s).

  • (EYELINER AND/OR BROWS) tinting and/or perming should be done no sooner than 48 hours prior and two weeks after the procedure. (In treated area(s).

  • (EYELINER) If you wear contact lenses, they will need to be removed before the eyeliner procedure. It is recommended that you bring your eyeglasses to your appointment, as well as a storage case for your contacts. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-procedural condition.

  • (EYELINER) It is best to have eyelash extensions removed prior to eyeliner procedure.

  • (EYELINER) If you are using eyelash growth products, such ast Latisse, LiLash, etc, please discontinue their use for one month prior to eyeliner procedures.

  •  Allow two weeks healing time before spending time in the sun and/or swimming. Wear sunscreen and protect your cosmetics from sun!

  • In the event that you need a MRI scan, chemical peel, laser treatment or other related medical treatments, you should inform the radiologist/physician that you have Permanent Makeup. There is no reason to indicate you should not have any of these procedures due to permanent cosmetics, however the technician may take additional steps to protect your cosmetics from damage.

  • All permanent cosmetics fade over a period of time. Your individual skin type, medications, sun exposure and your willingness to follow after care instructions can affect how long they last. You should plan on periodic maintenance in order to keep them looking their best. AVERAGE is 1-3 years, but that varies greatly.

  • All colors will appear sharper and bolder than anticipated, however, will soften considerably within 5-14 days. This softening is the result of the exfoliation process and new cell growth in the treated area(s).

  • The application of Permanent Makeup is a two or more step process. Touch ups are required before your NEW procedure is considered complete. I recommend that your follow-up be applied in about 6 weeks, however, I allow a 3 month grace period to complete your procedure without additional charge.

  • A topical anesthetic will be applied prior to your procedure. These are very effective and most people report their makeup procedures to be quite comfortable.

  •  It is recommended to schedule your appointment after the completion of your menstrual cycle as we have found the body to be more sensitive immediately before and during this time.

  •  I use one-time, pre-packaged, sterile and disposable needles and components. You can expect a pleasant and clean environment. My city business license, health department inspection certification and blood-borne pathogen certification are displayed. Please feel free to ask to see them as I (and all permanent makeup artists in Utah) are required by law to have them displayed. These are the ONLY permits required by law in Utah. There are no school licensing requirements at this time.

  •  Allergic reaction to pigment is extremely rare, however, should this be a concern to you, a patch test is available. It is unknown how much time should safely pass before it is possible to determine a reaction.

  •  You will be required to list all medications that you are currently taking and some medical information. You must also consent to before and after photos to be filed in your chart. This is Utah law. You do NOT need to consent to the use of your photos on any advertising or online forums.

  • I ask that you guarantee your appointment with a deposit. In the event that you need to change or cancel, I kindly request 48 hour notice so that I have the opportunity to offer your time to another client. Your deposit will be non-refundable if you fail to give 24 hour notice of cancellation or changes to your appointment.

  • The Red Cross will not accept blood donations for one year following a tattoo procedure.

For cancellation or rescheduling kindly allow 48 hour notice to avoid cancellation fees. We do charge a cancellation fee if 24 hour notice is not given.
